Das Fleisch schmeckt mir sehr, jedoch könnte es für meinen Geschmack noch etwas Salziger sein. Was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das das Fleisch einen eisenhaltigen Geschmack hat (nicht so stark wie Das Elchfleisch), für den Fall das man das nicht mag, sollte man davon vllt. Abstand halten, mir jedoch macht es nichts und daher ist das kein Problem. Die Verpackung ist für meinen Geschmack (wie bei den meisten anderen Trockenfleisch Herstellern) zu groß gewählt. Die Packung ist immer nur, wenn überhaupt, 1/4 gefüllt, da könnte man der Umwelt zu liebe, eventuell eine kleinere Verpackung wählen. Auch der Preis von etwa 4€-5€ pro Tüte ist schon nicht ohne. Aber da es mir Schmeckt kann ich darüber noch hinweg sehen. An sich bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden und kann mir vorstellen es erneut zu kaufen wenn en im Angebot sein sollte.

Ich bin ein Riesen Jerky Fan allerdings kann dieses Jerky leider nicht überzeugen da es nur gesalzen ist leider ein bitterer Geschmack im Mund denn ich so noch nie hatte bei anderen Produkten

I thoroughly enjoyed this Elk jerky, it is different in texture and taste but a great alternative to the same old beef.It does work out rather expensive when compared to buying beef jerky, these are roughly £3.58 for 25g but I suppose you are paying the extra due to the source of the product.The bags are easy to open, just tear at the top, pick out the oxygen absorber first as its really small and you could easily mistaken it for elk jerky if you were eating in the dark! The thickness of the jerky varied in the pack, I prefer it thick but this was few and far between. The taste was like smoked tinned hotdogs, that’s the best I can relate it to. The texture wasn’t as chewy as beef jerky as that can be really hard to chew at times and makes the pack last longer, whereas I had finished this pack in no time.This particular elk jerky was marinated in black pepper but I could hardly taste that, it was only when I had finished the pack that I could taste a hint of black pepper so I think the marinating needs improving.Overall, great snack, good source of protein, different and most importantly of all I would buy this again and recommend to anyone who loves beef jerky to try this.

Foto: In der Mitte habe ich eine Rasierklinge fotografiert. Genauso spitz und scharfkantig sind die Teile. Wunderte mich, weil das Jerky nach Blut schmeckt, bis ich bemerkt hatte, dass das Zahnfleisch rot und die Lippe aufgeschnitten war. oben mittig sieht man den Abfall, der auf die winzige Portion auf 25 Gramm, das ist nichts, zugepackt wird. Das ist eine unkaubare Fleischfaser. Fazit: Keine Kaufempfehlung, ein Höhle der Löwen Nepp für D(ü)umme(l). Wenn es aber jeder Deutsche und jede Deutsche nur 1 x kauft, wird der Investor reich!

Ich habe Renjer “Jerky” in den Varianten Elch, Hirsch und Rentier versucht und mir fast die Zähne daran ausgebissen.Alle 3 sorten leiden am gleichen Problem: die stücke sind viel zu dünn und vollkommen vertrocknet. Die harten Fleisch-Chips lassen sich erst nach etwas rumkauen und mit Speichel überhaupt zerbeissen, wenn man zu enthusiastisch drauflos kaut verletzt man sich unter Umständen das Zahnfleisch. So dick und Rosa wie auf den Produktbildern sieht das Jerky auch leider nicht aus, es ist so dünn wie Schinkenaufschnitt geschnitten und völlig übertrocknet, da ist kein Rest von Feuchtigkeit mehr drin. Das ist Trocken-/Dörrfleisch, aber hat mit dem amerikanischen Jerky, das eher dick geschnitten ist und sich gut kauen lässt, nichts zu tun. Das in Kombination mit dem sehr hohen Preis grenzt schon an eine Unverschämtheit.2 Punkte vergebe ich für den durchaus guten Geschmack. Gekauft habe ich meine Probe vom Lokalen REWE, und nein es war nicht abgelaufen, sondern laut Aufdruck sogar noch 1,5 Jahre haltbar.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren unzählige Jerkys, Biltong und andere Trockenfleischprodukte getestet. Und dabei auch immer die Familie teilhaben lassen. Aktuell sind wir uns aber einig, dass dieses Produkt etwas ganz besonderes ist, nämlich ganz besonders teuer. Das Fleisch ist streckenweise nur ein Drittel so dick wie andere Jerkys, was aber auch der Konsistenz geschuldet sein wird. Leider sind auch nur 50% der Stücke in dieser Qualität. Die andere Hälfte ist leider nur okay bis mangelhaft und schlechter, da sehnig und zäh. Sowas spuckt man dann doch mal unterwegs ins Gelände…Leider habe ich mir hier wesentlich mehr erwartet, wenn man mit anderen Herstellern vergleicht, ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Geschmack ist gut, aber die Qualität der Fleischstücke im Schnitt nur mittelmäßig.Ich fürchte, dass hier auch „gekaufte“ Tester ihre geschönte Meinung schreiben. Leider haben diese wohl nicht die Ahnung bzw. direkt andere Produktionen erhalten, wie die Fotos zeigen.

Das Rentier-Jerky ist sehr viel zarter als alle anderen Jerkies die ich je probiert habe. Habe auch zum ersten Mal Elch-Jerky ausprobiert: sehr schmackhaft! Nicht billig aber definitiv wert. Ideal für unterwegs. Schneller und unkomplizierter Versand.

… Wild, nicht so robust im Geschmack wie Elch, da es fetter ist. Und am zartesten das Rentier, das aber weniger Eiweiss als die anderen beiden enthält. Das sich aber ALLES sehr gut kauen liess – und vor allem auch schön lange vorhält.Allerdings bezweifle ich schwer, dass die guten alten Wikinger oder Lappen ihr Ren-, Elch- oder Wldfleisch vor dem Trocknen in E250 alias Natriumnitrit einlegten. Gut, dieses synthetische Pökelsalz verhindert, dass uns Bakterien wie Botulinus den Appetit verderben und/oder krank machen. Absolut “natürlich” ist dieses Jerky vom Wild also leider auch nicht.Hier haben wir einen Beutel mit 30 Gramm Wild-Jerky, für den 100 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 406 kcal/1693 kJ, mit satten 70 % Eiweiss, 8 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Je 30-Gramm-Beutel also circa 135 kcal.Und einen Beutel mit 30 Gramm Elch-Jerky, für den 100 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 371 kcal/1547 kJ, mit satten 77 % Eiweiss, 7 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Pro 30-Gramm-Beutel also circa 120 kcal.Und einen Beutel mit 25 Gramm Rentier-Jerky, für den 70 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 273 kcal/1142 kJ, mit 56,7 % Eiweiss, 4,5 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Je 25-Gramm-Beutel also circa nur 70 kcal.Letzteres schmeckte ich bei einigen der sehr schön geschnittenen Teilchen leider ein wenig heraus. Darum die 4 Sterne-Wertung. Allerdings eine reine Geschmackssache, letztendlich…Ansonsten ist so ein 25/ 30-Gramm-Beutel ein recht gesunder und vor allem auch sehr sättigender Snack mit circa 70, 125 oder 135 kcal. Sehr schön kräftig und sehr individuell im Geschmack, und eine echte Abwechslung zu Beef alias Rind. Kann ich durchaus weiter empfehlen.Preislich liegt diese nordische Spezialität allerdings im oberen Preisbereich. Das wissen wir aber vor dem Kauf. Und haltbar ungeöffnet bis 01/2019.Wer also einmal etwas anderes probieren mag im Jerky-Bereich, kann sich hier austoben. Und dann die jeweiligen Lieblingsjerkies einzeln bestellen. Als Skandinavien Fan 🇸🇪🇮🇸🇩🇰 ein absolutes Muss, noch besser und intensiver im Geschmack und knusprig wenn man die Verpackung offen in den Kühlschrank (Selbtsabtauer/Feuchtigkeit wird entzogen) stellt.Zu einer Whisky Verkostung ein absolutes Highlight.Selbst meine Frau war begeistert 👍👍👍

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

Das Jerky unterscheidet sich sehr von gewöhnlichem Beef Jerky. Alle Drei haben einen sehr ähnlichen Grundgeschmack, aber mit verschiedenen Geschmacksnoten. Als Jerky-Fan sollte man es auf jedem fall Probieren. Am besten fande ich das Hirsch Jerky

Ich habe mir das Probierpaket gekauft, welches bei Amazon als “4er Packung, 100g” angegeben wurde.Kurzum, es kamen 4 kleine Tütchen je 25g an…das sind zusammen 100g aber dafür musste ich 25€ bezahlen !?!Ich dachte das wären 4 Packungen je 100g.Gut, jetzt kann man sagen, dass das mein Fehler sei, hätte ich doch mal besser richtig gelesen.Ja, mag sein, aber deswegen schreibe ich diese Rezension. Stolpert bitte nicht über den selben Fallstrick wie ich!Das Jerky selbst ist…gerade mal so okay. Nichts Besonderes und schon gar keine 6€ für 25g wert.

Mein Mann ist großer Fan von Jerky und hatte bereits vor einiger Zeit das Glück Jerky von Renjer zu probieren. Das Elch Jerky mit schwarzem Pfeffer weckte daher sofort sein Interesse. Bereits die hochwertige und ansprechende Verpackung verspricht ein Geschmackserlebnis Punkt schade ist jedoch, dass die Tüte nicht wiederverschliessbar ist, da wir in den meisten Fällen diese nicht auf einmal aufessen. Ein Clip tut es aber selbstverständlich auch.Das Jerky hat die typische Farbe und Konsistenz, die man auch von anderen Sorten kennt und entsprechend erwartet. Beim Öffnen strömt einem ein leckerer, leicht würziger Geruch entgegen. So würzig wie das Jerkey riecht und es aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet wurde, schmeckt es aber nicht. Das Jerky schmeckte meinem Mann zwar sehr gut, eine Pfeffer-Note konnte er jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Für Konsumenten, die sich besonders auf einen Pfefferkick freuen, könnte das Geschmackserlebnis daher leicht enttäuschend sein. Da das Jerky aber ansonsten erstklassig ist, gibt es 4 von 5 Sternen.

Die Packungen können prima aufgehängt werden und dann mühelos von der Aufhängung entfernt werden. Sehr praktisch. Der Geschmack ist fabelhaft, nach frischen Kräutern. Das Fleisch ist schön fest und in mundgerechte Stücke geschnitten. Sehr lecker.

Have consumed a lot of dried and cured meats, particularly from Scandinavian countries, and have to say these products are nowhere near the taste and quality of reindeer, elk and deer that I have previously eaten in country and acquired on line. They were so unpalatable none of my family could eat then , so all were consigned to the bin. Shame as we were all looking forward to a good experience.

sehr gutes Produkt würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen die Konsistenz ist hervorragend nicht zu trocken genau richtig.Das Elchfleisch ist ein wenig fettiger als Rentier und Hirsch aber geschmacklich sind alle sehr gut.

I have to admit it I am an absolute pest for Jerky I cant get enough of it and have eaten a lot of different types over the years.This Black pepper Elk Jerky to my mind tastes similar to most other Beef type Jerky but ever so slightly different, it is a subtle difference mind you. The black pepper flavouring is absolutely fine for me and not overpowering. I think this would make a nice change for that someone who enjoys Jerky and the price is about on par with most other types on the market.

Never have I tried Deer jerky before normally always have Beef, all I kept thinking of was one of Santa’s reindeers at first.The Jerky is nice and tender and full of such lovely flavour, I think it is well seasoned without it being too salty which is what you can find sometimes. You can definently get the taste of the chilli and lime come through without it being too overpowering.It is a great snack to have when feeling peckish. It is high in protein which is great for muscle repairs and not that high in carbs which makes it quite healthy.I do think it is a little expensive compared to your normal Jerky you can buy, but that may be because its isn’t Beef and is Deer instead.

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

It’s definitely not too salty and they used the right amount of spices. If I would need to describe how wilderness tastes like I would probably describe is as the taste of the elk jerky by Renjer.The package itself is just stunning. Great as a present for any meat lover!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Elk jerky, it is different in texture and taste but a great alternative to the same old beef.It does work out rather expensive when compared to buying beef jerky, these are roughly £3.58 for 25g but I suppose you are paying the extra due to the source of the product.The bags are easy to open, just tear at the top, pick out the oxygen absorber first as its really small and you could easily mistaken it for elk jerky if you were eating in the dark! The thickness of the jerky varied in the pack, I prefer it thick but this was few and far between. The taste was like smoked tinned hotdogs, that’s the best I can relate it to. The texture wasn’t as chewy as beef jerky as that can be really hard to chew at times and makes the pack last longer, whereas I had finished this pack in no time.This particular elk jerky was marinated in black pepper but I could hardly taste that, it was only when I had finished the pack that I could taste a hint of black pepper so I think the marinating needs improving.Overall, great snack, good source of protein, different and most importantly of all I would buy this again and recommend to anyone who loves beef jerky to try this.

sehr gutes Produkt würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen die Konsistenz ist hervorragend nicht zu trocken genau richtig.Das Elchfleisch ist ein wenig fettiger als Rentier und Hirsch aber geschmacklich sind alle sehr gut.

Hab mir gedacht dass es sehr stark nach Wild schmecken wird. Kannte bisher nur den Geschmack vom Hirsch/Wild aber in gekochter Form. Etwas zäh am Anfang aber mit der richtigen Erwachsenen-Limonade ist es ein ganz besonderer Snack 😉 Wer Beef Jerky und Biltong mag der sollte diese Kostproben auch mal probieren.

Ein typisches “Höhle der Löwen” Produkt: zur Markteinführung sündhaft teuer und danach massenweise auf dem Grabbeltisch verramscht. Alle drei angepriesenen Sorten schmecken wie Presspappe (ergo: gleich), erinnern von der Konsistenz an Jetons aus dem Spielcasino und sind völlig überteuert. Wäre kein Salz enthalten, hätte ich das Jerkey zumindest dem Hund geben können, da es sich schließlich um 100%iges Fleisch handelt.

Have consumed a lot of dried and cured meats, particularly from Scandinavian countries, and have to say these products are nowhere near the taste and quality of reindeer, elk and deer that I have previously eaten in country and acquired on line. They were so unpalatable none of my family could eat then , so all were consigned to the bin. Shame as we were all looking forward to a good experience.

Ich war schon lange ein Fan von Rindfleisch-Jerky, mir hat jedoch immer die Abwechslung zu anderen Fleischsorten gefehlt. Das Elch-Jerky von Renjer hat jetzt alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen – viel zarter und geschmacksintensiver als irgendein Jerky aus dem Supermarkt. Dazu noch so hochwertig verpackt Und dadurch auch klasse zum Verschenken geeignet.Und das bei diesem trotzdem so günstigen Preis! Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!

I do enjoy jerky as a carbohydrate light but protein-rich snack, but never have I had elk jerky, nor have I ever had any other product from Renjer before. This multipack of elk jerky black pepper flavour is absolutely knockout. The pieces are cut just to the right size, cured so that they have enough of a “chew”, but not so overly dehydrated that you might as well be eating leather. The flavour isn’t as gamey as I thought it would be, I think I would struggle to distinguish this from really high-quality beef jerky, but far superior in flavour than some well-known brand of jerky. What I like about the seasoning and black pepper flavouring is that it makes this jerky taste like it has been made in small batches, because some pieces have a lovely peppery heat, and other pieces are quite mild. Whatever piece, the seasoning is never too over-pronounced.This would nearly be a 5-star reviewed product, but I have had to deduct 1 star for the little sachet that is in the packet that contains presumably silica or something similar to keep the jerky dry, but there is no warning about this, and the packet is a similar size to the jerky pieces. For unsuspecting consumers or those with failing eyesight etc. this could be a risk. There needs to be a clearly written warning on the outside of the bag of jerky, plus I would suggest making the sachet inside with some sort of textured wrapper.Other than that minor issue, I highly recommend this product.

Das Fleisch schmeckt mir sehr, jedoch könnte es für meinen Geschmack noch etwas Salziger sein. Was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das das Fleisch einen eisenhaltigen Geschmack hat (nicht so stark wie Das Elchfleisch), für den Fall das man das nicht mag, sollte man davon vllt. Abstand halten, mir jedoch macht es nichts und daher ist das kein Problem. Die Verpackung ist für meinen Geschmack (wie bei den meisten anderen Trockenfleisch Herstellern) zu groß gewählt. Die Packung ist immer nur, wenn überhaupt, 1/4 gefüllt, da könnte man der Umwelt zu liebe, eventuell eine kleinere Verpackung wählen. Auch der Preis von etwa 4€-5€ pro Tüte ist schon nicht ohne. Aber da es mir Schmeckt kann ich darüber noch hinweg sehen. An sich bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden und kann mir vorstellen es erneut zu kaufen wenn en im Angebot sein sollte.

Ein typisches “Höhle der Löwen” Produkt: zur Markteinführung sündhaft teuer und danach massenweise auf dem Grabbeltisch verramscht. Alle drei angepriesenen Sorten schmecken wie Presspappe (ergo: gleich), erinnern von der Konsistenz an Jetons aus dem Spielcasino und sind völlig überteuert. Wäre kein Salz enthalten, hätte ich das Jerkey zumindest dem Hund geben können, da es sich schließlich um 100%iges Fleisch handelt.

Nachdem ich bei einer Schwedenreise in Lund auf dieses Jerky gestoßen bin und total überwältigt war von seinem unwiderstehlichen Geschmack, blieb mir nichts anderes übrig als meine letzten Kronen zu verjubeln, um ein paar Packungen mit nach Deutschland zu nehmen. Meine Freunde und Familie waren ebenso begeistert wie ich und so stießen wir schnell auf ein kleines Problem – Wir brauchten Nachschub!!!Umso erfreuter war ich, als ich beim Rumstöbern auf Amazon einfach mal mein Glück versuchte, Renjer eingab und sofort fündig wurde. Und nicht nur einfach das, nein, das Jerky gibt’s sogar im 10-erPack!!!Keine 10 Sekunden später war die Bestellung raus und bereits nach wenigen Tagen konnte ich endlich wieder in den Genuss des wilden Skandinaviens kommen. Einfach und doch so genial, absoluter Geheimtipp!

Als Jerky Fan musste ich einfach mal das Renntier Fleisch von Renjer kosten und bin nicht enttäuscht worden! Würze und Bissfestigkeit passen perfekt! Die 10er Box versorgt mich gut für die nächste Zeit! Abgerundet wird das ganze durch eine stylische Verpackung! Also auch ideal als Geschenk!

I do enjoy jerky as a carbohydrate light but protein-rich snack, but never have I had elk jerky, nor have I ever had any other product from Renjer before. This multipack of elk jerky black pepper flavour is absolutely knockout. The pieces are cut just to the right size, cured so that they have enough of a “chew”, but not so overly dehydrated that you might as well be eating leather. The flavour isn’t as gamey as I thought it would be, I think I would struggle to distinguish this from really high-quality beef jerky, but far superior in flavour than some well-known brand of jerky. What I like about the seasoning and black pepper flavouring is that it makes this jerky taste like it has been made in small batches, because some pieces have a lovely peppery heat, and other pieces are quite mild. Whatever piece, the seasoning is never too over-pronounced.This would nearly be a 5-star reviewed product, but I have had to deduct 1 star for the little sachet that is in the packet that contains presumably silica or something similar to keep the jerky dry, but there is no warning about this, and the packet is a similar size to the jerky pieces. For unsuspecting consumers or those with failing eyesight etc. this could be a risk. There needs to be a clearly written warning on the outside of the bag of jerky, plus I would suggest making the sachet inside with some sort of textured wrapper.Other than that minor issue, I highly recommend this product.

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Here is my thoughts on the three jerky products from Renjer – Deer, Elk and Reindeer.Packaging. Great durability. Great material. Easily read information both front and back and with a small satchet of Oxygen Absorber in the package. Came in a small and sturdy box, that survived very nicely.Overall, loved it. Even my mum loved it.Each had subtle differences from taste to smell to texture. As far as I know, there were no bad thoughts towards the products, and in the future would consider buying again, probably on my next batch of random Amazon purchases, especially the Deer.Just so you know, if I use odd descriptions, it’s my tastes and scents, and *probably* not the full representation of the final product 🙂 so please take note. I do try not to mislead people.Please take the scents part as one of the odd descriptions as mentioned. Everyone smells things with a different fragrance, as such. Mine, I tend to use some odd or bizzare descriptions, intentionally to be good. A lot of people are used to more modern day methods, however these are traditional methods, as far as I know, so I’m trying not to disrespect its process and style.AnyhooI am sat in bed, reviewing each product as I go to refresh memory, and rinsing my taste buds with good old Lancashire tap water.Smells, or Scents, are sometimes challenging, at least for me to do, as most of the flavour is typically locked in the meat.But here are my descriptions, even if they seem bizzare as hell. I use the term juicy, meaning once you chew it and it gets moisture added back in the product it releases the flavour.Welcome to the Clint Way.All products are cut into bite-sized pieces.Deer;Texture. Like dried meat. Not quite stereotypical jerky. Easier to break apart and bite into. You can feel the fibres when you chew. Which is great.Tastes. Rich, Juicy (after a few chews). Like really nice. And for some unknown reason I get a hint of Kippers or another smoked fish, but thats probably me, as my mum can’t taste it, but she thought of spam, but I didn’t. Both agree on mouth watering. Scent wise. I haven’t the foggiest. It’s not bad. But the only thing my mind can relate to is a box of Weetabix. Which is a wholegrain wheat cereal.Anyhoo moving on…Elk;Texture. Similar to that of the deer, if a tad more chewy and harder. Again not bad.Taste. Another rich taste, though possibly richer then the deer, and again juicy once you’ve done a few chews and it gets re-moistured.Scent. Mum reckons pepper. Me, faint smell of Weetabix. To be honest. I struggle on the scent of this.Reindeer;Previously… I’ve tried Reindeer as a roast dinner that my Nan made with a Finnish recipe in the past, so was excited to try it in other ways.The smell, to me, is like a lot of Weetabix. Like if I just took an almighty wiff of the box. (Love Weetabix btw). I just wish I could figure out a more universal smell.Texture. The more “meatier” texture of the three. They all had the texture of jerky, but this had the least texture of jerky in my honest opinion. Others may differ. About the same chew consistency as the deer.Tastes. Aftertaste similar to Corned Beef, however unique overall. As close as my mind can put a comparison to anyhop. Another rich and juicy product.Final Notes.All very moreish. Nice rich flavours. Textures are great. Feels like love went into the product, rather then mass production.If you’re intuiged, either by what we, the reviewers, or from what you’ve read elsewhere, then give it a go. In the end, what do you have to lose? Couple of bob?PS. I seem to have turned this into a micro-essay. And possibly have used way too many commas (,) in some places.Hope this is of use ^.^

Never have I tried Deer jerky before normally always have Beef, all I kept thinking of was one of Santa’s reindeers at first.The Jerky is nice and tender and full of such lovely flavour, I think it is well seasoned without it being too salty which is what you can find sometimes. You can definently get the taste of the chilli and lime come through without it being too overpowering.It is a great snack to have when feeling peckish. It is high in protein which is great for muscle repairs and not that high in carbs which makes it quite healthy.I do think it is a little expensive compared to your normal Jerky you can buy, but that may be because its isn’t Beef and is Deer instead.

Ich habe mir das Probierpaket gekauft, welches bei Amazon als “4er Packung, 100g” angegeben wurde.Kurzum, es kamen 4 kleine Tütchen je 25g an…das sind zusammen 100g aber dafür musste ich 25€ bezahlen !?!Ich dachte das wären 4 Packungen je 100g.Gut, jetzt kann man sagen, dass das mein Fehler sei, hätte ich doch mal besser richtig gelesen.Ja, mag sein, aber deswegen schreibe ich diese Rezension. Stolpert bitte nicht über den selben Fallstrick wie ich!Das Jerky selbst ist…gerade mal so okay. Nichts Besonderes und schon gar keine 6€ für 25g wert.

Das Elch-Jerky von Renjer hat jetzt alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen – viel zarter und geschmacksintensiver als irgendein Jerky aus dem Supermarkt. Hi, hab mir das der aus Neugier bestellt. Ich mag Beef Jerky und wollte mal was neues ausprobieren.Das Fleisch ist mürber als Rind. Was ich besonders toll finde, ist das man an den einzelnen Stücken noch die Kräuter und Gewürze erkennen kann, mit denen das Fleisch mariniert wurde.

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

Have consumed a lot of dried and cured meats, particularly from Scandinavian countries, and have to say these products are nowhere near the taste and quality of reindeer, elk and deer that I have previously eaten in country and acquired on line. They were so unpalatable none of my family could eat then , so all were consigned to the bin. Shame as we were all looking forward to a good experience.

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Right, let;s settle the score from the start – I lived in South Africa, the country famous for its biltong, otherwise knows as jerky all over the world and I am the biggest fan of this delicatessen, so when I saw this, I was like – Hey yeah! Cannot wait! It came, I tried it and was left disappointed!Ok, although it is natural, and elk, so …exotic, although croc or ostrich biltong is way more exotic and actually..ostrich biltong is meant to be the most dry one in the world, but…next to this elk, it is as juicy and moist and full of flavour as can be!So… the verdict? Dry! Tasteless! Might as well chew on some cardboard, I guess….disappointing!NOw on to the second type – the Rein Deer… SPICY! but flavoursome and this is what earned the second star for the brand, as it is full of heat though still full of flavour and not chewy – so….if you are to go for this sort of jerky and not afraid of fire – go Rein Deer!

Here is my thoughts on the three jerky products from Renjer – Deer, Elk and Reindeer.Packaging. Great durability. Great material. Easily read information both front and back and with a small satchet of Oxygen Absorber in the package. Came in a small and sturdy box, that survived very nicely.Overall, loved it. Even my mum loved it.Each had subtle differences from taste to smell to texture. As far as I know, there were no bad thoughts towards the products, and in the future would consider buying again, probably on my next batch of random Amazon purchases, especially the Deer.Just so you know, if I use odd descriptions, it’s my tastes and scents, and *probably* not the full representation of the final product 🙂 so please take note. I do try not to mislead people.Please take the scents part as one of the odd descriptions as mentioned. Everyone smells things with a different fragrance, as such. Mine, I tend to use some odd or bizzare descriptions, intentionally to be good. A lot of people are used to more modern day methods, however these are traditional methods, as far as I know, so I’m trying not to disrespect its process and style.AnyhooI am sat in bed, reviewing each product as I go to refresh memory, and rinsing my taste buds with good old Lancashire tap water.Smells, or Scents, are sometimes challenging, at least for me to do, as most of the flavour is typically locked in the meat.But here are my descriptions, even if they seem bizzare as hell. I use the term juicy, meaning once you chew it and it gets moisture added back in the product it releases the flavour.Welcome to the Clint Way.All products are cut into bite-sized pieces.Deer;Texture. Like dried meat. Not quite stereotypical jerky. Easier to break apart and bite into. You can feel the fibres when you chew. Which is great.Tastes. Rich, Juicy (after a few chews). Like really nice. And for some unknown reason I get a hint of Kippers or another smoked fish, but thats probably me, as my mum can’t taste it, but she thought of spam, but I didn’t. Both agree on mouth watering. Scent wise. I haven’t the foggiest. It’s not bad. But the only thing my mind can relate to is a box of Weetabix. Which is a wholegrain wheat cereal.Anyhoo moving on…Elk;Texture. Similar to that of the deer, if a tad more chewy and harder. Again not bad.Taste. Another rich taste, though possibly richer then the deer, and again juicy once you’ve done a few chews and it gets re-moistured.Scent. Mum reckons pepper. Me, faint smell of Weetabix. To be honest. I struggle on the scent of this.Reindeer;Previously… I’ve tried Reindeer as a roast dinner that my Nan made with a Finnish recipe in the past, so was excited to try it in other ways.The smell, to me, is like a lot of Weetabix. Like if I just took an almighty wiff of the box. (Love Weetabix btw). I just wish I could figure out a more universal smell.Texture. The more “meatier” texture of the three. They all had the texture of jerky, but this had the least texture of jerky in my honest opinion. Others may differ. About the same chew consistency as the deer.Tastes. Aftertaste similar to Corned Beef, however unique overall. As close as my mind can put a comparison to anyhop. Another rich and juicy product.Final Notes.All very moreish. Nice rich flavours. Textures are great. Feels like love went into the product, rather then mass production.If you’re intuiged, either by what we, the reviewers, or from what you’ve read elsewhere, then give it a go. In the end, what do you have to lose? Couple of bob?PS. I seem to have turned this into a micro-essay. And possibly have used way too many commas (,) in some places.Hope this is of use ^.^

Foto: In der Mitte habe ich eine Rasierklinge fotografiert. Genauso spitz und scharfkantig sind die Teile. Wunderte mich, weil das Jerky nach Blut schmeckt, bis ich bemerkt hatte, dass das Zahnfleisch rot und die Lippe aufgeschnitten war. oben mittig sieht man den Abfall, der auf die winzige Portion auf 25 Gramm, das ist nichts, zugepackt wird. Das ist eine unkaubare Fleischfaser. Fazit: Keine Kaufempfehlung, ein Höhle der Löwen Nepp für D(ü)umme(l). Wenn es aber jeder Deutsche und jede Deutsche nur 1 x kauft, wird der Investor reich!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Elk jerky, it is different in texture and taste but a great alternative to the same old beef.It does work out rather expensive when compared to buying beef jerky, these are roughly £3.58 for 25g but I suppose you are paying the extra due to the source of the product.The bags are easy to open, just tear at the top, pick out the oxygen absorber first as its really small and you could easily mistaken it for elk jerky if you were eating in the dark! The thickness of the jerky varied in the pack, I prefer it thick but this was few and far between. The taste was like smoked tinned hotdogs, that’s the best I can relate it to. The texture wasn’t as chewy as beef jerky as that can be really hard to chew at times and makes the pack last longer, whereas I had finished this pack in no time.This particular elk jerky was marinated in black pepper but I could hardly taste that, it was only when I had finished the pack that I could taste a hint of black pepper so I think the marinating needs improving.Overall, great snack, good source of protein, different and most importantly of all I would buy this again and recommend to anyone who loves beef jerky to try this.

Als Jerky Fan musste ich einfach mal das Renntier Fleisch von Renjer kosten und bin nicht enttäuscht worden! Würze und Bissfestigkeit passen perfekt! Die 10er Box versorgt mich gut für die nächste Zeit! Abgerundet wird das ganze durch eine stylische Verpackung! Also auch ideal als Geschenk!

Hab mir gedacht dass es sehr stark nach Wild schmecken wird. Kannte bisher nur den Geschmack vom Hirsch/Wild aber in gekochter Form. Etwas zäh am Anfang aber mit der richtigen Erwachsenen-Limonade ist es ein ganz besonderer Snack 😉 Wer Beef Jerky und Biltong mag der sollte diese Kostproben auch mal probieren.

Das Fleisch schmeckt mir sehr, jedoch könnte es für meinen Geschmack noch etwas Salziger sein. Was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das das Fleisch einen eisenhaltigen Geschmack hat (nicht so stark wie Das Elchfleisch), für den Fall das man das nicht mag, sollte man davon vllt. Abstand halten, mir jedoch macht es nichts und daher ist das kein Problem. Die Verpackung ist für meinen Geschmack (wie bei den meisten anderen Trockenfleisch Herstellern) zu groß gewählt. Die Packung ist immer nur, wenn überhaupt, 1/4 gefüllt, da könnte man der Umwelt zu liebe, eventuell eine kleinere Verpackung wählen. Auch der Preis von etwa 4€-5€ pro Tüte ist schon nicht ohne. Aber da es mir Schmeckt kann ich darüber noch hinweg sehen. An sich bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden und kann mir vorstellen es erneut zu kaufen wenn en im Angebot sein sollte.

sehr gutes Produkt würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen die Konsistenz ist hervorragend nicht zu trocken genau richtig.Das Elchfleisch ist ein wenig fettiger als Rentier und Hirsch aber geschmacklich sind alle sehr gut.

Hi, hab mir das der aus Neugier bestellt. Ich mag Beef Jerky und wollte mal was neues ausprobieren.Das Fleisch ist mürber als Rind. Was ich besonders toll finde, ist das man an den einzelnen Stücken noch die Kräuter und Gewürze erkennen kann, mit denen das Fleisch mariniert wurde.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren unzählige Jerkys, Biltong und andere Trockenfleischprodukte getestet. Und dabei auch immer die Familie teilhaben lassen. Aktuell sind wir uns aber einig, dass dieses Produkt etwas ganz besonderes ist, nämlich ganz besonders teuer. Das Fleisch ist streckenweise nur ein Drittel so dick wie andere Jerkys, was aber auch der Konsistenz geschuldet sein wird. Leider sind auch nur 50% der Stücke in dieser Qualität. Die andere Hälfte ist leider nur okay bis mangelhaft und schlechter, da sehnig und zäh. Sowas spuckt man dann doch mal unterwegs ins Gelände…Leider habe ich mir hier wesentlich mehr erwartet, wenn man mit anderen Herstellern vergleicht, ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Geschmack ist gut, aber die Qualität der Fleischstücke im Schnitt nur mittelmäßig.Ich fürchte, dass hier auch „gekaufte“ Tester ihre geschönte Meinung schreiben. Leider haben diese wohl nicht die Ahnung bzw. direkt andere Produktionen erhalten, wie die Fotos zeigen.

Nachdem ich bei einer Schwedenreise in Lund auf dieses Jerky gestoßen bin und total überwältigt war von seinem unwiderstehlichen Geschmack, blieb mir nichts anderes übrig als meine letzten Kronen zu verjubeln, um ein paar Packungen mit nach Deutschland zu nehmen. Meine Freunde und Familie waren ebenso begeistert wie ich und so stießen wir schnell auf ein kleines Problem – Wir brauchten Nachschub!!!Umso erfreuter war ich, als ich beim Rumstöbern auf Amazon einfach mal mein Glück versuchte, Renjer eingab und sofort fündig wurde. Und nicht nur einfach das, nein, das Jerky gibt’s sogar im 10-erPack!!!Keine 10 Sekunden später war die Bestellung raus und bereits nach wenigen Tagen konnte ich endlich wieder in den Genuss des wilden Skandinaviens kommen. Einfach und doch so genial, absoluter Geheimtipp!

Ich habe mir das Probierpaket gekauft, welches bei Amazon als “4er Packung, 100g” angegeben wurde.Kurzum, es kamen 4 kleine Tütchen je 25g an…das sind zusammen 100g aber dafür musste ich 25€ bezahlen !?!Ich dachte das wären 4 Packungen je 100g.Gut, jetzt kann man sagen, dass das mein Fehler sei, hätte ich doch mal besser richtig gelesen.Ja, mag sein, aber deswegen schreibe ich diese Rezension. Stolpert bitte nicht über den selben Fallstrick wie ich!Das Jerky selbst ist…gerade mal so okay. Nichts Besonderes und schon gar keine 6€ für 25g wert.

Never have I tried Deer jerky before normally always have Beef, all I kept thinking of was one of Santa’s reindeers at first.The Jerky is nice and tender and full of such lovely flavour, I think it is well seasoned without it being too salty which is what you can find sometimes. You can definently get the taste of the chilli and lime come through without it being too overpowering.It is a great snack to have when feeling peckish. It is high in protein which is great for muscle repairs and not that high in carbs which makes it quite healthy.I do think it is a little expensive compared to your normal Jerky you can buy, but that may be because its isn’t Beef and is Deer instead.

Mein Mann ist großer Fan von Jerky und hatte bereits vor einiger Zeit das Glück Jerky von Renjer zu probieren. Das Elch Jerky mit schwarzem Pfeffer weckte daher sofort sein Interesse. Bereits die hochwertige und ansprechende Verpackung verspricht ein Geschmackserlebnis Punkt schade ist jedoch, dass die Tüte nicht wiederverschliessbar ist, da wir in den meisten Fällen diese nicht auf einmal aufessen. Ein Clip tut es aber selbstverständlich auch.Das Jerky hat die typische Farbe und Konsistenz, die man auch von anderen Sorten kennt und entsprechend erwartet. Beim Öffnen strömt einem ein leckerer, leicht würziger Geruch entgegen. So würzig wie das Jerkey riecht und es aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet wurde, schmeckt es aber nicht. Das Jerky schmeckte meinem Mann zwar sehr gut, eine Pfeffer-Note konnte er jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Für Konsumenten, die sich besonders auf einen Pfefferkick freuen, könnte das Geschmackserlebnis daher leicht enttäuschend sein. Da das Jerky aber ansonsten erstklassig ist, gibt es 4 von 5 Sternen.

Ich war schon lange ein Fan von Rindfleisch-Jerky, mir hat jedoch immer die Abwechslung zu anderen Fleischsorten gefehlt. Das Elch-Jerky von Renjer hat jetzt alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen – viel zarter und geschmacksintensiver als irgendein Jerky aus dem Supermarkt. Dazu noch so hochwertig verpackt Und dadurch auch klasse zum Verschenken geeignet.Und das bei diesem trotzdem so günstigen Preis! Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!

Ich habe noch nie ein Hirschfleisch gegessen, aber auf dieses Produkt könnte ich süchtig werden – vor allem, weil ich sehr gerne scharf esse – der Preis ist mir persönlich zu hoch – ob ich es noch einmal kaufe, kann ich jetzt noch nicht sagen – trotzdem sehr gut und scharf, SUPER!

I don’t usually buy food products from the internet and especially not from outside my country. But had to make an exception when I saw this product being sold here.The product is bit expensive in my country and got it a little cheaper this way. Even though the amount of meat is not enough to satiate your hunger, it’s enough to satiate your culinary needs. The meat tastes like game meat should taste with bit of salt, no extra additives or taste of packing gasses, just simple taste of good dried game meat.Packaging is simple, nice and looks good. Also it’s easy to open.Meat was tasty and had a good texture. You can actually recognize different muscle fibers on the pieces.Definitely a high quality product. It actually makes you a bit sad when you are about to eat that last piece of meat, you will cherish the moment.

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

I do enjoy jerky as a carbohydrate light but protein-rich snack, but never have I had elk jerky, nor have I ever had any other product from Renjer before. This multipack of elk jerky black pepper flavour is absolutely knockout. The pieces are cut just to the right size, cured so that they have enough of a “chew”, but not so overly dehydrated that you might as well be eating leather. The flavour isn’t as gamey as I thought it would be, I think I would struggle to distinguish this from really high-quality beef jerky, but far superior in flavour than some well-known brand of jerky. What I like about the seasoning and black pepper flavouring is that it makes this jerky taste like it has been made in small batches, because some pieces have a lovely peppery heat, and other pieces are quite mild. Whatever piece, the seasoning is never too over-pronounced.This would nearly be a 5-star reviewed product, but I have had to deduct 1 star for the little sachet that is in the packet that contains presumably silica or something similar to keep the jerky dry, but there is no warning about this, and the packet is a similar size to the jerky pieces. For unsuspecting consumers or those with failing eyesight etc. this could be a risk. There needs to be a clearly written warning on the outside of the bag of jerky, plus I would suggest making the sachet inside with some sort of textured wrapper.Other than that minor issue, I highly recommend this product.

Hab mir gedacht dass es sehr stark nach Wild schmecken wird. Kannte bisher nur den Geschmack vom Hirsch/Wild aber in gekochter Form. Etwas zäh am Anfang aber mit der richtigen Erwachsenen-Limonade ist es ein ganz besonderer Snack 😉 Wer Beef Jerky und Biltong mag der sollte diese Kostproben auch mal probieren.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Elk jerky, it is different in texture and taste but a great alternative to the same old beef.It does work out rather expensive when compared to buying beef jerky, these are roughly £3.58 for 25g but I suppose you are paying the extra due to the source of the product.The bags are easy to open, just tear at the top, pick out the oxygen absorber first as its really small and you could easily mistaken it for elk jerky if you were eating in the dark! The thickness of the jerky varied in the pack, I prefer it thick but this was few and far between. The taste was like smoked tinned hotdogs, that’s the best I can relate it to. The texture wasn’t as chewy as beef jerky as that can be really hard to chew at times and makes the pack last longer, whereas I had finished this pack in no time.This particular elk jerky was marinated in black pepper but I could hardly taste that, it was only when I had finished the pack that I could taste a hint of black pepper so I think the marinating needs improving.Overall, great snack, good source of protein, different and most importantly of all I would buy this again and recommend to anyone who loves beef jerky to try this.

Mein Mann ist großer Fan von Jerky und hatte bereits vor einiger Zeit das Glück Jerky von Renjer zu probieren. Das Elch Jerky mit schwarzem Pfeffer weckte daher sofort sein Interesse. Bereits die hochwertige und ansprechende Verpackung verspricht ein Geschmackserlebnis Punkt schade ist jedoch, dass die Tüte nicht wiederverschliessbar ist, da wir in den meisten Fällen diese nicht auf einmal aufessen. Ein Clip tut es aber selbstverständlich auch.Das Jerky hat die typische Farbe und Konsistenz, die man auch von anderen Sorten kennt und entsprechend erwartet. Beim Öffnen strömt einem ein leckerer, leicht würziger Geruch entgegen. So würzig wie das Jerkey riecht und es aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet wurde, schmeckt es aber nicht. Das Jerky schmeckte meinem Mann zwar sehr gut, eine Pfeffer-Note konnte er jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Für Konsumenten, die sich besonders auf einen Pfefferkick freuen, könnte das Geschmackserlebnis daher leicht enttäuschend sein. Da das Jerky aber ansonsten erstklassig ist, gibt es 4 von 5 Sternen.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren unzählige Jerkys, Biltong und andere Trockenfleischprodukte getestet. Und dabei auch immer die Familie teilhaben lassen. Aktuell sind wir uns aber einig, dass dieses Produkt etwas ganz besonderes ist, nämlich ganz besonders teuer. Das Fleisch ist streckenweise nur ein Drittel so dick wie andere Jerkys, was aber auch der Konsistenz geschuldet sein wird. Leider sind auch nur 50% der Stücke in dieser Qualität. Die andere Hälfte ist leider nur okay bis mangelhaft und schlechter, da sehnig und zäh. Sowas spuckt man dann doch mal unterwegs ins Gelände…Leider habe ich mir hier wesentlich mehr erwartet, wenn man mit anderen Herstellern vergleicht, ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Geschmack ist gut, aber die Qualität der Fleischstücke im Schnitt nur mittelmäßig.Ich fürchte, dass hier auch „gekaufte“ Tester ihre geschönte Meinung schreiben. Leider haben diese wohl nicht die Ahnung bzw. direkt andere Produktionen erhalten, wie die Fotos zeigen.

Have consumed a lot of dried and cured meats, particularly from Scandinavian countries, and have to say these products are nowhere near the taste and quality of reindeer, elk and deer that I have previously eaten in country and acquired on line. They were so unpalatable none of my family could eat then , so all were consigned to the bin. Shame as we were all looking forward to a good experience.

Hi, hab mir das der aus Neugier bestellt. Ich mag Beef Jerky und wollte mal was neues ausprobieren.Das Fleisch ist mürber als Rind. Was ich besonders toll finde, ist das man an den einzelnen Stücken noch die Kräuter und Gewürze erkennen kann, mit denen das Fleisch mariniert wurde.

Never have I tried Deer jerky before normally always have Beef, all I kept thinking of was one of Santa’s reindeers at first.The Jerky is nice and tender and full of such lovely flavour, I think it is well seasoned without it being too salty which is what you can find sometimes. You can definently get the taste of the chilli and lime come through without it being too overpowering.It is a great snack to have when feeling peckish. It is high in protein which is great for muscle repairs and not that high in carbs which makes it quite healthy.I do think it is a little expensive compared to your normal Jerky you can buy, but that may be because its isn’t Beef and is Deer instead.

Here is my thoughts on the three jerky products from Renjer – Deer, Elk and Reindeer.Packaging. Great durability. Great material. Easily read information both front and back and with a small satchet of Oxygen Absorber in the package. Came in a small and sturdy box, that survived very nicely.Overall, loved it. Even my mum loved it.Each had subtle differences from taste to smell to texture. As far as I know, there were no bad thoughts towards the products, and in the future would consider buying again, probably on my next batch of random Amazon purchases, especially the Deer.Just so you know, if I use odd descriptions, it’s my tastes and scents, and *probably* not the full representation of the final product 🙂 so please take note. I do try not to mislead people.Please take the scents part as one of the odd descriptions as mentioned. Everyone smells things with a different fragrance, as such. Mine, I tend to use some odd or bizzare descriptions, intentionally to be good. A lot of people are used to more modern day methods, however these are traditional methods, as far as I know, so I’m trying not to disrespect its process and style.AnyhooI am sat in bed, reviewing each product as I go to refresh memory, and rinsing my taste buds with good old Lancashire tap water.Smells, or Scents, are sometimes challenging, at least for me to do, as most of the flavour is typically locked in the meat.But here are my descriptions, even if they seem bizzare as hell. I use the term juicy, meaning once you chew it and it gets moisture added back in the product it releases the flavour.Welcome to the Clint Way.All products are cut into bite-sized pieces.Deer;Texture. Like dried meat. Not quite stereotypical jerky. Easier to break apart and bite into. You can feel the fibres when you chew. Which is great.Tastes. Rich, Juicy (after a few chews). Like really nice. And for some unknown reason I get a hint of Kippers or another smoked fish, but thats probably me, as my mum can’t taste it, but she thought of spam, but I didn’t. Both agree on mouth watering. Scent wise. I haven’t the foggiest. It’s not bad. But the only thing my mind can relate to is a box of Weetabix. Which is a wholegrain wheat cereal.Anyhoo moving on…Elk;Texture. Similar to that of the deer, if a tad more chewy and harder. Again not bad.Taste. Another rich taste, though possibly richer then the deer, and again juicy once you’ve done a few chews and it gets re-moistured.Scent. Mum reckons pepper. Me, faint smell of Weetabix. To be honest. I struggle on the scent of this.Reindeer;Previously… I’ve tried Reindeer as a roast dinner that my Nan made with a Finnish recipe in the past, so was excited to try it in other ways.The smell, to me, is like a lot of Weetabix. Like if I just took an almighty wiff of the box. (Love Weetabix btw). I just wish I could figure out a more universal smell.Texture. The more “meatier” texture of the three. They all had the texture of jerky, but this had the least texture of jerky in my honest opinion. Others may differ. About the same chew consistency as the deer.Tastes. Aftertaste similar to Corned Beef, however unique overall. As close as my mind can put a comparison to anyhop. Another rich and juicy product.Final Notes.All very moreish. Nice rich flavours. Textures are great. Feels like love went into the product, rather then mass production.If you’re intuiged, either by what we, the reviewers, or from what you’ve read elsewhere, then give it a go. In the end, what do you have to lose? Couple of bob?PS. I seem to have turned this into a micro-essay. And possibly have used way too many commas (,) in some places.Hope this is of use ^.^

Mega lecker!! Das Jerky ist endlich mal nicht der durchschnittliche, ungesunde Snack, sondern mit dem einzigartigen Geschmack echt was besonderes. Man schmeckt, dass es natürlich ist. Die Nährwerte sind natürlich der absolute Hammer. Habe erst gezögert, Jerky online zu bestellen, aber werde es auf jeden Fall bald wieder bestellen, wenn meine 10er Box alle ist. Bravo!

Right, let;s settle the score from the start – I lived in South Africa, the country famous for its biltong, otherwise knows as jerky all over the world and I am the biggest fan of this delicatessen, so when I saw this, I was like – Hey yeah! Cannot wait! It came, I tried it and was left disappointed!Ok, although it is natural, and elk, so …exotic, although croc or ostrich biltong is way more exotic and actually..ostrich biltong is meant to be the most dry one in the world, but…next to this elk, it is as juicy and moist and full of flavour as can be!So… the verdict? Dry! Tasteless! Might as well chew on some cardboard, I guess….disappointing!NOw on to the second type – the Rein Deer… SPICY! but flavoursome and this is what earned the second star for the brand, as it is full of heat though still full of flavour and not chewy – so….if you are to go for this sort of jerky and not afraid of fire – go Rein Deer!

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Das Fleisch schmeckt mir sehr, jedoch könnte es für meinen Geschmack noch etwas Salziger sein. Was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das das Fleisch einen eisenhaltigen Geschmack hat (nicht so stark wie Das Elchfleisch), für den Fall das man das nicht mag, sollte man davon vllt. Abstand halten, mir jedoch macht es nichts und daher ist das kein Problem. Die Verpackung ist für meinen Geschmack (wie bei den meisten anderen Trockenfleisch Herstellern) zu groß gewählt. Die Packung ist immer nur, wenn überhaupt, 1/4 gefüllt, da könnte man der Umwelt zu liebe, eventuell eine kleinere Verpackung wählen. Auch der Preis von etwa 4€-5€ pro Tüte ist schon nicht ohne. Aber da es mir Schmeckt kann ich darüber noch hinweg sehen. An sich bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden und kann mir vorstellen es erneut zu kaufen wenn en im Angebot sein sollte.

Right, let;s settle the score from the start – I lived in South Africa, the country famous for its biltong, otherwise knows as jerky all over the world and I am the biggest fan of this delicatessen, so when I saw this, I was like – Hey yeah! Cannot wait! It came, I tried it and was left disappointed!Ok, although it is natural, and elk, so …exotic, although croc or ostrich biltong is way more exotic and actually..ostrich biltong is meant to be the most dry one in the world, but…next to this elk, it is as juicy and moist and full of flavour as can be!So… the verdict? Dry! Tasteless! Might as well chew on some cardboard, I guess….disappointing!NOw on to the second type – the Rein Deer… SPICY! but flavoursome and this is what earned the second star for the brand, as it is full of heat though still full of flavour and not chewy – so….if you are to go for this sort of jerky and not afraid of fire – go Rein Deer!

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

Als Jerky Fan musste ich einfach mal das Renntier Fleisch von Renjer kosten und bin nicht enttäuscht worden! Würze und Bissfestigkeit passen perfekt! Die 10er Box versorgt mich gut für die nächste Zeit! Abgerundet wird das ganze durch eine stylische Verpackung! Also auch ideal als Geschenk!

I am not a regular jerky eater. Usually it is too salty for me and tastes more than a weird mix of spices than actual meat. Jerky by Renjer is different. It’s definitely not too salty and they used the right amount of spices. If I would need to describe how wilderness tastes like I would probably describe is as the taste of the elk jerky by Renjer.The package itself is just stunning. Great as a present for any meat lover!

Edles Jerky aus dem hohen Norden – der perfekte Snack zu Whisky und Wein!Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit, und so macht schon die Verpackung ordentlich Appetit. Wirklich sehr ansprechend (und damit übrigens auch ideal als kleines Mitbringsel). Das einzige Problem war, dass mein Sohn und ich nicht eher aufhören konnten, bis alles alle war.Man muss wirklich kein Skandinavien-Fan sein, um das zu mögen.

sehr gutes Produkt würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen die Konsistenz ist hervorragend nicht zu trocken genau richtig.Das Elchfleisch ist ein wenig fettiger als Rentier und Hirsch aber geschmacklich sind alle sehr gut.

Ich habe mir das Probierpaket gekauft, welches bei Amazon als “4er Packung, 100g” angegeben wurde.Kurzum, es kamen 4 kleine Tütchen je 25g an…das sind zusammen 100g aber dafür musste ich 25€ bezahlen !?!Ich dachte das wären 4 Packungen je 100g.Gut, jetzt kann man sagen, dass das mein Fehler sei, hätte ich doch mal besser richtig gelesen.Ja, mag sein, aber deswegen schreibe ich diese Rezension. Stolpert bitte nicht über den selben Fallstrick wie ich!Das Jerky selbst ist…gerade mal so okay. Nichts Besonderes und schon gar keine 6€ für 25g wert.

… Wild, nicht so robust im Geschmack wie Elch, da es fetter ist. Und am zartesten das Rentier, das aber weniger Eiweiss als die anderen beiden enthält. Das sich aber ALLES sehr gut kauen liess – und vor allem auch schön lange vorhält.Allerdings bezweifle ich schwer, dass die guten alten Wikinger oder Lappen ihr Ren-, Elch- oder Wldfleisch vor dem Trocknen in E250 alias Natriumnitrit einlegten. Gut, dieses synthetische Pökelsalz verhindert, dass uns Bakterien wie Botulinus den Appetit verderben und/oder krank machen. Absolut “natürlich” ist dieses Jerky vom Wild also leider auch nicht.Hier haben wir einen Beutel mit 30 Gramm Wild-Jerky, für den 100 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 406 kcal/1693 kJ, mit satten 70 % Eiweiss, 8 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Je 30-Gramm-Beutel also circa 135 kcal.Und einen Beutel mit 30 Gramm Elch-Jerky, für den 100 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 371 kcal/1547 kJ, mit satten 77 % Eiweiss, 7 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Pro 30-Gramm-Beutel also circa 120 kcal.Und einen Beutel mit 25 Gramm Rentier-Jerky, für den 70 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 273 kcal/1142 kJ, mit 56,7 % Eiweiss, 4,5 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Je 25-Gramm-Beutel also circa nur 70 kcal.Letzteres schmeckte ich bei einigen der sehr schön geschnittenen Teilchen leider ein wenig heraus. Darum die 4 Sterne-Wertung. Allerdings eine reine Geschmackssache, letztendlich…Ansonsten ist so ein 25/ 30-Gramm-Beutel ein recht gesunder und vor allem auch sehr sättigender Snack mit circa 70, 125 oder 135 kcal. Sehr schön kräftig und sehr individuell im Geschmack, und eine echte Abwechslung zu Beef alias Rind. Kann ich durchaus weiter empfehlen.Preislich liegt diese nordische Spezialität allerdings im oberen Preisbereich. Das wissen wir aber vor dem Kauf. Und haltbar ungeöffnet bis 01/2019.Wer also einmal etwas anderes probieren mag im Jerky-Bereich, kann sich hier austoben. Und dann die jeweiligen Lieblingsjerkies einzeln bestellen. Der Shop ist super, der Versand günstig und echt schnell, sogar nach Bella Italia. Danke!

Hab mir gedacht dass es sehr stark nach Wild schmecken wird. Kannte bisher nur den Geschmack vom Hirsch/Wild aber in gekochter Form. Etwas zäh am Anfang aber mit der richtigen Erwachsenen-Limonade ist es ein ganz besonderer Snack 😉 Wer Beef Jerky und Biltong mag der sollte diese Kostproben auch mal probieren.

Foto: In der Mitte habe ich eine Rasierklinge fotografiert. Genauso spitz und scharfkantig sind die Teile. Wunderte mich, weil das Jerky nach Blut schmeckt, bis ich bemerkt hatte, dass das Zahnfleisch rot und die Lippe aufgeschnitten war. oben mittig sieht man den Abfall, der auf die winzige Portion auf 25 Gramm, das ist nichts, zugepackt wird. Das ist eine unkaubare Fleischfaser. Fazit: Keine Kaufempfehlung, ein Höhle der Löwen Nepp für D(ü)umme(l). Wenn es aber jeder Deutsche und jede Deutsche nur 1 x kauft, wird der Investor reich!

Here is my thoughts on the three jerky products from Renjer – Deer, Elk and Reindeer.Packaging. Great durability. Great material. Easily read information both front and back and with a small satchet of Oxygen Absorber in the package. Came in a small and sturdy box, that survived very nicely.Overall, loved it. Even my mum loved it.Each had subtle differences from taste to smell to texture. As far as I know, there were no bad thoughts towards the products, and in the future would consider buying again, probably on my next batch of random Amazon purchases, especially the Deer.Just so you know, if I use odd descriptions, it’s my tastes and scents, and *probably* not the full representation of the final product 🙂 so please take note. I do try not to mislead people.Please take the scents part as one of the odd descriptions as mentioned. Everyone smells things with a different fragrance, as such. Mine, I tend to use some odd or bizzare descriptions, intentionally to be good. A lot of people are used to more modern day methods, however these are traditional methods, as far as I know, so I’m trying not to disrespect its process and style.AnyhooI am sat in bed, reviewing each product as I go to refresh memory, and rinsing my taste buds with good old Lancashire tap water.Smells, or Scents, are sometimes challenging, at least for me to do, as most of the flavour is typically locked in the meat.But here are my descriptions, even if they seem bizzare as hell. I use the term juicy, meaning once you chew it and it gets moisture added back in the product it releases the flavour.Welcome to the Clint Way.All products are cut into bite-sized pieces.Deer;Texture. Like dried meat. Not quite stereotypical jerky. Easier to break apart and bite into. You can feel the fibres when you chew. Which is great.Tastes. Rich, Juicy (after a few chews). Like really nice. And for some unknown reason I get a hint of Kippers or another smoked fish, but thats probably me, as my mum can’t taste it, but she thought of spam, but I didn’t. Both agree on mouth watering. Have consumed a lot of dried and cured meats, particularly from Scandinavian countries, and have to say these products are nowhere near the taste and quality of reindeer, elk and deer that I have previously eaten in country and acquired on line. They were so unpalatable none of my family could eat then , so all were consigned to the bin. Shame as we were all looking forward to a good experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Elk jerky, it is different in texture and taste but a great alternative to the same old beef.It does work out rather expensive when compared to buying beef jerky, these are roughly £3.58 for 25g but I suppose you are paying the extra due to the source of the product.The bags are easy to open, just tear at the top, pick out the oxygen absorber first as its really small and you could easily mistaken it for elk jerky if you were eating in the dark! The thickness of the jerky varied in the pack, I prefer it thick but this was few and far between. The taste was like smoked tinned hotdogs, that’s the best I can relate it to. The texture wasn’t as chewy as beef jerky as that can be really hard to chew at times and makes the pack last longer, whereas I had finished this pack in no time.This particular elk jerky was marinated in black pepper but I could hardly taste that, it was only when I had finished the pack that I could taste a hint of black pepper so I think the marinating needs improving.Overall, great snack, good source of protein, different and most importantly of all I would buy this again and recommend to anyone who loves beef jerky to try this.

Never have I tried Deer jerky before normally always have Beef, all I kept thinking of was one of Santa’s reindeers at first.The Jerky is nice and tender and full of such lovely flavour, I think it is well seasoned without it being too salty which is what you can find sometimes. You can definently get the taste of the chilli and lime come through without it being too overpowering.It is a great snack to have when feeling peckish. It is high in protein which is great for muscle repairs and not that high in carbs which makes it quite healthy.I do think it is a little expensive compared to your normal Jerky you can buy, but that may be because its isn’t Beef and is Deer instead.

Ich war schon lange ein Fan von Rindfleisch-Jerky, mir hat jedoch immer die Abwechslung zu anderen Fleischsorten gefehlt. Das Elch-Jerky von Renjer hat jetzt alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen – viel zarter und geschmacksintensiver als irgendein Jerky aus dem Supermarkt. Mein Mann ist großer Fan von Jerky und hatte bereits vor einiger Zeit das Glück Jerky von Renjer zu probieren. Das Elch Jerky mit schwarzem Pfeffer weckte daher sofort sein Interesse. Bereits die hochwertige und ansprechende Verpackung verspricht ein Geschmackserlebnis Punkt schade ist jedoch, dass die Tüte nicht wiederverschliessbar ist, da wir in den meisten Fällen diese nicht auf einmal aufessen. Ein Clip tut es aber selbstverständlich auch.Das Jerky hat die typische Farbe und Konsistenz, die man auch von anderen Sorten kennt und entsprechend erwartet. Beim Öffnen strömt einem ein leckerer, leicht würziger Geruch entgegen. So würzig wie das Jerkey riecht und es aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet wurde, schmeckt es aber nicht. Das Jerky schmeckte meinem Mann zwar sehr gut, eine Pfeffer-Note konnte er jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Für Konsumenten, die sich besonders auf einen Pfefferkick freuen, könnte das Geschmackserlebnis daher leicht enttäuschend sein. Da das Jerky aber ansonsten erstklassig ist, gibt es 4 von 5 Sternen.

I don’t usually buy food products from the internet and especially not from outside my country. But had to make an exception when I saw this product being sold here.The product is bit expensive in my country and got it a little cheaper this way. Even though the amount of meat is not enough to satiate your hunger, it’s enough to satiate your culinary needs. The meat tastes like game meat should taste with bit of salt, no extra additives or taste of packing gasses, just simple taste of good dried game meat.Packaging is simple, nice and looks good. Also it’s easy to open.Meat was tasty and had a good texture. You can actually recognize different muscle fibers on the pieces.Definitely a high quality product. It actually makes you a bit sad when you are about to eat that last piece of meat, you will cherish the moment.

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

Das Fleisch schmeckt mir sehr, jedoch könnte es für meinen Geschmack noch etwas Salziger sein. Was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das das Fleisch einen eisenhaltigen Geschmack hat (nicht so stark wie Das Elchfleisch), für den Fall das man das nicht mag, sollte man davon vllt. Abstand halten, mir jedoch macht es nichts und daher ist das kein Problem. Die Verpackung ist für meinen Geschmack (wie bei den meisten anderen Trockenfleisch Herstellern) zu groß gewählt. Die Packung ist immer nur, wenn überhaupt, 1/4 gefüllt, da könnte man der Umwelt zu liebe, eventuell eine kleinere Verpackung wählen. Auch der Preis von etwa 4€-5€ pro Tüte ist schon nicht ohne. Aber da es mir Schmeckt kann ich darüber noch hinweg sehen. An sich bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden und kann mir vorstellen es erneut zu kaufen wenn en im Angebot sein sollte.

I do enjoy jerky as a carbohydrate light but protein-rich snack, but never have I had elk jerky, nor have I ever had any other product from Renjer before. This multipack of elk jerky black pepper flavour is absolutely knockout. The pieces are cut just to the right size, cured so that they have enough of a “chew”, but not so overly dehydrated that you might as well be eating leather. The flavour isn’t as gamey as I thought it would be, I think I would struggle to distinguish this from really high-quality beef jerky, but far superior in flavour than some well-known brand of jerky. What I like about the seasoning and black pepper flavouring is that it makes this jerky taste like it has been made in small batches, because some pieces have a lovely peppery heat, and other pieces are quite mild. Whatever piece, the seasoning is never too over-pronounced.This would nearly be a 5-star reviewed product, but I have had to deduct 1 star for the little sachet that is in the packet that contains presumably silica or something similar to keep the jerky dry, but there is no warning about this, and the packet is a similar size to the jerky pieces. For unsuspecting consumers or those with failing eyesight etc. this could be a risk. There needs to be a clearly written warning on the outside of the bag of jerky, plus I would suggest making the sachet inside with some sort of textured wrapper.Other than that minor issue, I highly recommend this product.

Nachdem ich bei einer Schwedenreise in Lund auf dieses Jerky gestoßen bin und total überwältigt war von seinem unwiderstehlichen Geschmack, blieb mir nichts anderes übrig als meine letzten Kronen zu verjubeln, um ein paar Packungen mit nach Deutschland zu nehmen. Meine Freunde und Familie waren ebenso begeistert wie ich und so stießen wir schnell auf ein kleines Problem – Wir brauchten Nachschub!!!Umso erfreuter war ich, als ich beim Rumstöbern auf Amazon einfach mal mein Glück versuchte, Renjer eingab und sofort fündig wurde. Und nicht nur einfach das, nein, das Jerky gibt’s sogar im 10-erPack!!!Keine 10 Sekunden später war die Bestellung raus und bereits nach wenigen Tagen konnte ich endlich wieder in den Genuss des wilden Skandinaviens kommen. Einfach und doch so genial, absoluter Geheimtipp!

Ich habe noch nie ein Hirschfleisch gegessen, aber auf dieses Produkt könnte ich süchtig werden – vor allem, weil ich sehr gerne scharf esse – der Preis ist mir persönlich zu hoch – ob ich es noch einmal kaufe, kann ich jetzt noch nicht sagen – trotzdem sehr gut und scharf, SUPER!

Edles Jerky aus dem hohen Norden – der perfekte Snack zu Whisky und Wein!Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit, und so macht schon die Verpackung ordentlich Appetit. Wirklich sehr ansprechend (und damit übrigens auch ideal als kleines Mitbringsel). Das einzige Problem war, dass mein Sohn und ich nicht eher aufhören konnten, bis alles alle war.Man muss wirklich kein Skandinavien-Fan sein, um das zu mögen.

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Ich habe Renjer “Jerky” in den Varianten Elch, Hirsch und Rentier versucht und mir fast die Zähne daran ausgebissen.Alle 3 sorten leiden am gleichen Problem: die stücke sind viel zu dünn und vollkommen vertrocknet. Die harten Fleisch-Chips lassen sich erst nach etwas rumkauen und mit Speichel überhaupt zerbeissen, wenn man zu enthusiastisch drauflos kaut verletzt man sich unter Umständen das Zahnfleisch. So dick und Rosa wie auf den Produktbildern sieht das Jerky auch leider nicht aus, es ist so dünn wie Schinkenaufschnitt geschnitten und völlig übertrocknet, da ist kein Rest von Feuchtigkeit mehr drin. Das ist Trocken-/Dörrfleisch, aber hat mit dem amerikanischen Jerky, das eher dick geschnitten ist und sich gut kauen lässt, nichts zu tun. Das in Kombination mit dem sehr hohen Preis grenzt schon an eine Unverschämtheit.2 Punkte vergebe ich für den durchaus guten Geschmack. Gekauft habe ich meine Probe vom Lokalen REWE, und nein es war nicht abgelaufen, sondern laut Aufdruck sogar noch 1,5 Jahre haltbar.

Here is my thoughts on the three jerky products from Renjer – Deer, Elk and Reindeer.Packaging. Great durability. Great material. Easily read information both front and back and with a small satchet of Oxygen Absorber in the package. Came in a small and sturdy box, that survived very nicely.Overall, loved it. Even my mum loved it.Each had subtle differences from taste to smell to texture. As far as I know, there were no bad thoughts towards the products, and in the future would consider buying again, probably on my next batch of random Amazon purchases, especially the Deer.Just so you know, if I use odd descriptions, it’s my tastes and scents, and *probably* not the full representation of the final product 🙂 so please take note. I do try not to mislead people.Please take the scents part as one of the odd descriptions as mentioned. Everyone smells things with a different fragrance, as such. Mine, I tend to use some odd or bizzare descriptions, intentionally to be good. A lot of people are used to more modern day methods, however these are traditional methods, as far as I know, so I’m trying not to disrespect its process and style.AnyhooI am sat in bed, reviewing each product as I go to refresh memory, and rinsing my taste buds with good old Lancashire tap water.Smells, or Scents, are sometimes challenging, at least for me to do, as most of the flavour is typically locked in the meat.But here are my descriptions, even if they seem bizzare as hell. I use the term juicy, meaning once you chew it and it gets moisture added back in the product it releases the flavour.Welcome to the Clint Way.All products are cut into bite-sized pieces.Deer;Texture. Like dried meat. Not quite stereotypical jerky. Easier to break apart and bite into. You can feel the fibres when you chew. Which is great.Tastes. Rich, Juicy (after a few chews). Like really nice. And for some unknown reason I get a hint of Kippers or another smoked fish, but thats probably me, as my mum can’t taste it, but she thought of spam, but I didn’t. Both agree on mouth watering. Scent wise. I haven’t the foggiest. It’s not bad. But the only thing my mind can relate to is a box of Weetabix. Which is a wholegrain wheat cereal.Anyhoo moving on…Elk;Texture. Similar to that of the deer, if a tad more chewy and harder. Again not bad.Taste. Another rich taste, though possibly richer then the deer, and again juicy once you’ve done a few chews and it gets re-moistured.Scent. Mum reckons pepper. Me, faint smell of Weetabix. To be honest. I struggle on the scent of this.Reindeer;Previously… I’ve tried Reindeer as a roast dinner that my Nan made with a Finnish recipe in the past, so was excited to try it in other ways.The smell, to me, is like a lot of Weetabix. Like if I just took an almighty wiff of the box. (Love Weetabix btw). I just wish I could figure out a more universal smell.Texture. The more “meatier” texture of the three. They all had the texture of jerky, but this had the least texture of jerky in my honest opinion. Others may differ. About the same chew consistency as the deer.Tastes. Aftertaste similar to Corned Beef, however unique overall. As close as my mind can put a comparison to anyhop. Another rich and juicy product.Final Notes.All very moreish. Nice rich flavours. Textures are great. Feels like love went into the product, rather then mass production.If you’re intuiged, either by what we, the reviewers, or from what you’ve read elsewhere, then give it a go. In the end, what do you have to lose? Couple of bob?PS. I seem to have turned this into a micro-essay. And possibly have used way too many commas (,) in some places.Hope this is of use ^.^

Die harten Fleisch-Chips lassen sich erst nach etwas rumkauen und mit Speichel überhaupt zerbeissen, wenn man zu enthusiastisch drauflos kaut verletzt man sich unter Umständen das Zahnfleisch. So dick und Rosa wie auf den Produktbildern sieht das Jerky auch leider nicht aus, es ist so dünn wie Schinkenaufschnitt geschnitten und völlig übertrocknet, da ist kein Rest von Feuchtigkeit mehr drin. Das ist Trocken-/Dörrfleisch, aber hat mit dem amerikanischen Jerky, das eher dick geschnitten ist und sich gut kauen lässt, nichts zu tun. Das in Kombination mit dem sehr hohen Preis grenzt schon an eine Unverschämtheit.2 Punkte vergebe ich für den durchaus guten Geschmack. Gekauft habe ich meine Probe vom Lokalen REWE, und nein es war nicht abgelaufen, sondern laut Aufdruck sogar noch 1,5 Jahre haltbar.

Right, let;s settle the score from the start – I lived in South Africa, the country famous for its biltong, otherwise knows as jerky all over the world and I am the biggest fan of this delicatessen, so when I saw this, I was like – Hey yeah! Cannot wait! It came, I tried it and was left disappointed!Ok, although it is natural, and elk, so …exotic, although croc or ostrich biltong is way more exotic and actually..ostrich biltong is meant to be the most dry one in the world, but…next to this elk, it is as juicy and moist and full of flavour as can be!So… the verdict? Dry! Tasteless! Might as well chew on some cardboard, I guess….disappointing!NOw on to the second type – the Rein Deer… SPICY! but flavoursome and this is what earned the second star for the brand, as it is full of heat though still full of flavour and not chewy – so….if you are to go for this sort of jerky and not afraid of fire – go Rein Deer!

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

Hi, hab mir das der aus Neugier bestellt. Ich mag Beef Jerky und wollte mal was neues ausprobieren.Das Fleisch ist mürber als Rind. Was ich besonders toll finde, ist das man an den einzelnen Stücken noch die Kräuter und Gewürze erkennen kann, mit denen das Fleisch mariniert wurde.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren unzählige Jerkys, Biltong und andere Trockenfleischprodukte getestet. Und dabei auch immer die Familie teilhaben lassen. Aktuell sind wir uns aber einig, dass dieses Produkt etwas ganz besonderes ist, nämlich ganz besonders teuer. Das Fleisch ist streckenweise nur ein Drittel so dick wie andere Jerkys, was aber auch der Konsistenz geschuldet sein wird. Leider sind auch nur 50% der Stücke in dieser Qualität. Die andere Hälfte ist leider nur okay bis mangelhaft und schlechter, da sehnig und zäh. Sowas spuckt man dann doch mal unterwegs ins Gelände…Leider habe ich mir hier wesentlich mehr erwartet, wenn man mit anderen Herstellern vergleicht, ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Geschmack ist gut, aber die Qualität der Fleischstücke im Schnitt nur mittelmäßig.Ich fürchte, dass hier auch „gekaufte“ Tester ihre geschönte Meinung schreiben. Leider haben diese wohl nicht die Ahnung bzw. direkt andere Produktionen erhalten, wie die Fotos zeigen.

The meat tastes like game meat should taste with bit of salt, no extra additives or taste of packing gasses, just simple taste of good dried game meat.Packaging is simple, nice and looks good. Also it’s easy to open.Meat was tasty and had a good texture. You can actually recognize different muscle fibers on the pieces.Definitely a high quality product. It actually makes you a bit sad when you are about to eat that last piece of meat, you will cherish the moment.

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

I have to admit it I am an absolute pest for Jerky I cant get enough of it and have eaten a lot of different types over the years.This Black pepper Elk Jerky to my mind tastes similar to most other Beef type Jerky but ever so slightly different, it is a subtle difference mind you. The black pepper flavouring is absolutely fine for me and not overpowering. I think this would make a nice change for that someone who enjoys Jerky and the price is about on par with most other types on the market.

Foto: In der Mitte habe ich eine Rasierklinge fotografiert. Genauso spitz und scharfkantig sind die Teile. Wunderte mich, weil das Jerky nach Blut schmeckt, bis ich bemerkt hatte, dass das Zahnfleisch rot und die Lippe aufgeschnitten war. oben mittig sieht man den Abfall, der auf die winzige Portion auf 25 Gramm, das ist nichts, zugepackt wird. Das ist eine unkaubare Fleischfaser. Fazit: Keine Kaufempfehlung, ein Höhle der Löwen Nepp für D(ü)umme(l). Wenn es aber jeder Deutsche und jede Deutsche nur 1 x kauft, wird der Investor reich!

Das Jerky unterscheidet sich sehr von gewöhnlichem Beef Jerky. Alle Drei haben einen sehr ähnlichen Grundgeschmack, aber mit verschiedenen Geschmacksnoten. Als Jerky-Fan sollte man es auf jedem fall Probieren. Am besten fande ich das Hirsch Jerky

Ich habe Renjer “Jerky” in den Varianten Elch, Hirsch und Rentier versucht und mir fast die Zähne daran ausgebissen.Alle 3 sorten leiden am gleichen Problem: die stücke sind viel zu dünn und vollkommen vertrocknet. Mega lecker!! Das Jerky ist endlich mal nicht der durchschnittliche, ungesunde Snack, sondern mit dem einzigartigen Geschmack echt was besonderes. Man schmeckt, dass es natürlich ist. Die Nährwerte sind natürlich der absolute Hammer. Habe erst gezögert, Jerky online zu bestellen, aber werde es auf jeden Fall bald wieder bestellen, wenn meine 10er Box alle ist. Bravo!

I am not a regular jerky eater. Usually it is too salty for me and tastes more than a weird mix of spices than actual meat. Jerky by Renjer is different. It’s definitely not too salty and they used the right amount of spices. If I would need to describe how wilderness tastes like I would probably describe is as the taste of the elk jerky by Renjer.The package itself is just stunning. Great as a present for any meat lover!

Wäre kein Salz enthalten, hätte ich das Jerkey zumindest dem Hund geben können, da es sich schließlich um 100%iges Fleisch handelt.

Nachdem ich bei einer Schwedenreise in Lund auf dieses Jerky gestoßen bin und total überwältigt war von seinem unwiderstehlichen Geschmack, blieb mir nichts anderes übrig als meine letzten Kronen zu verjubeln, um ein paar Packungen mit nach Deutschland zu nehmen. Meine Freunde und Familie waren ebenso begeistert wie ich und so stießen wir schnell auf ein kleines Problem – Wir brauchten Nachschub!!!Umso erfreuter war ich, als ich beim Rumstöbern auf Amazon einfach mal mein Glück versuchte, Renjer eingab und sofort fündig wurde. Und nicht nur einfach das, nein, das Jerky gibt’s sogar im 10-erPack!!!Keine 10 Sekunden später war die Bestellung raus und bereits nach wenigen Tagen konnte ich endlich wieder in den Genuss des wilden Skandinaviens kommen. Einfach und doch so genial, absoluter Geheimtipp!

Edles Jerky aus dem hohen Norden – der perfekte Snack zu Whisky und Wein!Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit, und so macht schon die Verpackung ordentlich Appetit. Wirklich sehr ansprechend (und damit übrigens auch ideal als kleines Mitbringsel). Das einzige Problem war, dass mein Sohn und ich nicht eher aufhören konnten, bis alles alle war.Man muss wirklich kein Skandinavien-Fan sein, um das zu mögen.

I am not a regular jerky eater. Usually it is too salty for me and tastes more than a weird mix of spices than actual meat. Jerky by Renjer is different. It’s definitely not too salty and they used the right amount of spices. If I would need to describe how wilderness tastes like I would probably describe is as the taste of the elk jerky by Renjer.The package itself is just stunning. Great as a present for any meat lover!

Edles Jerky aus dem hohen Norden – der perfekte Snack zu Whisky und Wein!Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit, und so macht schon die Verpackung ordentlich Appetit. Wirklich sehr ansprechend (und damit übrigens auch ideal als kleines Mitbringsel). Das einzige Problem war, dass mein Sohn und ich nicht eher aufhören konnten, bis alles alle war.Man muss wirklich kein Skandinavien-Fan sein, um das zu mögen.

Mein Mann ist großer Fan von Jerky und hatte bereits vor einiger Zeit das Glück Jerky von Renjer zu probieren. Das Elch Jerky mit schwarzem Pfeffer weckte daher sofort sein Interesse. Bereits die hochwertige und ansprechende Verpackung verspricht ein Geschmackserlebnis Punkt schade ist jedoch, dass die Tüte nicht wiederverschliessbar ist, da wir in den meisten Fällen diese nicht auf einmal aufessen. Ein Clip tut es aber selbstverständlich auch.Das Jerky hat die typische Farbe und Konsistenz, die man auch von anderen Sorten kennt und entsprechend erwartet. Beim Öffnen strömt einem ein leckerer, leicht würziger Geruch entgegen. So würzig wie das Jerkey riecht und es aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet wurde, schmeckt es aber nicht. Das Jerky schmeckte meinem Mann zwar sehr gut, eine Pfeffer-Note konnte er jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Für Konsumenten, die sich besonders auf einen Pfefferkick freuen, könnte das Geschmackserlebnis daher leicht enttäuschend sein. Da das Jerky aber ansonsten erstklassig ist, gibt es 4 von 5 Sternen.

I do enjoy jerky as a carbohydrate light but protein-rich snack, but never have I had elk jerky, nor have I ever had any other product from Renjer before. This multipack of elk jerky black pepper flavour is absolutely knockout. The pieces are cut just to the right size, cured so that they have enough of a “chew”, but not so overly dehydrated that you might as well be eating leather. The flavour isn’t as gamey as I thought it would be, I think I would struggle to distinguish this from really high-quality beef jerky, but far superior in flavour than some well-known brand of jerky. What I like about the seasoning and black pepper flavouring is that it makes this jerky taste like it has been made in small batches, because some pieces have a lovely peppery heat, and other pieces are quite mild. Whatever piece, the seasoning is never too over-pronounced.This would nearly be a 5-star reviewed product, but I have had to deduct 1 star for the little sachet that is in the packet that contains presumably silica or something similar to keep the jerky dry, but there is no warning about this, and the packet is a similar size to the jerky pieces. For unsuspecting consumers or those with failing eyesight etc. this could be a risk. There needs to be a clearly written warning on the outside of the bag of jerky, plus I would suggest making the sachet inside with some sort of textured wrapper.Other than that minor issue, I highly recommend this product.

I don’t usually buy food products from the internet and especially not from outside my country. But had to make an exception when I saw this product being sold here.The product is bit expensive in my country and got it a little cheaper this way. Even though the amount of meat is not enough to satiate your hunger, it’s enough to satiate your culinary needs. The meat tastes like game meat should taste with bit of salt, no extra additives or taste of packing gasses, just simple taste of good dried game meat.Packaging is simple, nice and looks good. Also it’s easy to open.Meat was tasty and had a good texture. You can actually recognize different muscle fibers on the pieces.Definitely a high quality product. It actually makes you a bit sad when you are about to eat that last piece of meat, you will cherish the moment.

Right, let;s settle the score from the start – I lived in South Africa, the country famous for its biltong, otherwise knows as jerky all over the world and I am the biggest fan of this delicatessen, so when I saw this, I was like – Hey yeah! Cannot wait! It came, I tried it and was left disappointed!Ok, although it is natural, and elk, so …exotic, although croc or ostrich biltong is way more exotic and actually..ostrich biltong is meant to be the most dry one in the world, but…next to this elk, it is as juicy and moist and full of flavour as can be!So… the verdict? Dry! Tasteless! Might as well chew on some cardboard, I guess….disappointing!NOw on to the second type – the Rein Deer… SPICY! but flavoursome and this is what earned the second star for the brand, as it is full of heat though still full of flavour and not chewy – so….if you are to go for this sort of jerky and not afraid of fire – go Rein Deer!

Hi, hab mir das der aus Neugier bestellt. Ich mag Beef Jerky und wollte mal was neues ausprobieren.Das Fleisch ist mürber als Rind. Was ich besonders toll finde, ist das man an den einzelnen Stücken noch die Kräuter und Gewürze erkennen kann, mit denen das Fleisch mariniert wurde.

Hab mir gedacht dass es sehr stark nach Wild schmecken wird. Kannte bisher nur den Geschmack vom Hirsch/Wild aber in gekochter Form. Etwas zäh am Anfang aber mit der richtigen Erwachsenen-Limonade ist es ein ganz besonderer Snack 😉 Wer Beef Jerky und Biltong mag der sollte diese Kostproben auch mal probieren.

I have to admit it I am an absolute pest for Jerky I cant get enough of it and have eaten a lot of different types over the years.This Black pepper Elk Jerky to my mind tastes similar to most other Beef type Jerky but ever so slightly different, it is a subtle difference mind you. The black pepper flavouring is absolutely fine for me and not overpowering. I think this would make a nice change for that someone who enjoys Jerky and the price is about on par with most other types on the market.

Foto: In der Mitte habe ich eine Rasierklinge fotografiert. Genauso spitz und scharfkantig sind die Teile. Wunderte mich, weil das Jerky nach Blut schmeckt, bis ich bemerkt hatte, dass das Zahnfleisch rot und die Lippe aufgeschnitten war. oben mittig sieht man den Abfall, der auf die winzige Portion auf 25 Gramm, das ist nichts, zugepackt wird. Das ist eine unkaubare Fleischfaser. Fazit: Keine Kaufempfehlung, ein Höhle der Löwen Nepp für D(ü)umme(l). Wenn es aber jeder Deutsche und jede Deutsche nur 1 x kauft, wird der Investor reich!

Ich habe Renjer “Jerky” in den Varianten Elch, Hirsch und Rentier versucht und mir fast die Zähne daran ausgebissen.Alle 3 sorten leiden am gleichen Problem: die stücke sind viel zu dünn und vollkommen vertrocknet. Die harten Fleisch-Chips lassen sich erst nach etwas rumkauen und mit Speichel überhaupt zerbeissen, wenn man zu enthusiastisch drauflos kaut verletzt man sich unter Umständen das Zahnfleisch. So dick und Rosa wie auf den Produktbildern sieht das Jerky auch leider nicht aus, es ist so dünn wie Schinkenaufschnitt geschnitten und völlig übertrocknet, da ist kein Rest von Feuchtigkeit mehr drin. Das ist Trocken-/Dörrfleisch, aber hat mit dem amerikanischen Jerky, das eher dick geschnitten ist und sich gut kauen lässt, nichts zu tun. Das in Kombination mit dem sehr hohen Preis grenzt schon an eine Unverschämtheit.2 Punkte vergebe ich für den durchaus guten Geschmack. Gekauft habe ich meine Probe vom Lokalen REWE, und nein es war nicht abgelaufen, sondern laut Aufdruck sogar noch 1,5 Jahre haltbar.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren unzählige Jerkys, Biltong und andere Trockenfleischprodukte getestet. Und dabei auch immer die Familie teilhaben lassen. Aktuell sind wir uns aber einig, dass dieses Produkt etwas ganz besonderes ist, nämlich ganz besonders teuer. Das Fleisch ist streckenweise nur ein Drittel so dick wie andere Jerkys, was aber auch der Konsistenz geschuldet sein wird. Leider sind auch nur 50% der Stücke in dieser Qualität. Die andere Hälfte ist leider nur okay bis mangelhaft und schlechter, da sehnig und zäh. Sowas spuckt man dann doch mal unterwegs ins Gelände…Leider habe ich mir hier wesentlich mehr erwartet, wenn man mit anderen Herstellern vergleicht, ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Geschmack ist gut, aber die Qualität der Fleischstücke im Schnitt nur mittelmäßig.Ich fürchte, dass hier auch „gekaufte“ Tester ihre geschönte Meinung schreiben. Leider haben diese wohl nicht die Ahnung bzw. direkt andere Produktionen erhalten, wie die Fotos zeigen.

Anschaffungsgrund:Ich liebe Trockenfleisch! Bisher habe ich aber immer nur das Beef Jerky gekauft und gegessen da es hier in den Läden einfach nichts anderes gab. Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

Ich war schon lange ein Fan von Rindfleisch-Jerky, mir hat jedoch immer die Abwechslung zu anderen Fleischsorten gefehlt. Das Elch-Jerky von Renjer hat jetzt alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen – viel zarter und geschmacksintensiver als irgendein Jerky aus dem Supermarkt. Dazu noch so hochwertig verpackt Und dadurch auch klasse zum Verschenken geeignet.Und das bei diesem trotzdem so günstigen Preis! Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!

Mega lecker!! Das Jerky ist endlich mal nicht der durchschnittliche, ungesunde Snack, sondern mit dem einzigartigen Geschmack echt was besonderes. Man schmeckt, dass es natürlich ist. Never have I tried Deer jerky before normally always have Beef, all I kept thinking of was one of Santa’s reindeers at first.The Jerky is nice and tender and full of such lovely flavour, I think it is well seasoned without it being too salty which is what you can find sometimes. You can definently get the taste of the chilli and lime come through without it being too overpowering.It is a great snack to have when feeling peckish. It is high in protein which is great for muscle repairs and not that high in carbs which makes it quite healthy.I do think it is a little expensive compared to your normal Jerky you can buy, but that may be because its isn’t Beef and is Deer instead.

Nun wollte ich aber doch mal auch andere Varianten probieren, was ausgefallenes. Und bekanntlich bekommt man man ja im Internet alles.Also gibt es jetzt mal schönes Elk Jerky mit schwarzen Pfeffer aus Schweden.Qualität und Geschmack:In einem Paket befinden sich 12 kleine 25g Tütchen mit Trockenfleisch, insgesamt also 300g. 100g Jerky sind aus 275g Fleisch hergestellt worden.Optisch sieht es wirkich sehr gut aus, ich lese immer wieder dass Leute denken die kleinen weißen Stellen seien Schimmel. Ist es nicht, es ist Salz. Bis Jerky anfängt zu schimmeln dafür müsste es erstmal wieder deutlich feuchter werden. Da es aber gut portioniert ist wird wohl von einer so na kleinen Tüte nichts übrig bleiben. Schmecken tut es deutlich anders als das normale Beef Jerky, dass habe ich aber auch erwartet da es sich hier um Wildfleisch handelt, in diesem Fall um Elch. Der Pfeffer trägt ein wenig zum Guten Geschmack bei, ist aber noch recht dezent und nicht zu aufdringlich. Man schmeckt also durchaus noch zum Großteil das Fleisch und nicht den Pfeffer. Ich selbst esse es nur als Snack, es hat aber auch einen sehr großen Eiweißgehalt und ist dadurch auch gut als Snack zum Sport geeignet. Kohlenhydrate und Fett ist kaum vorhanden, es handelt sich hier wirklich um mageres und sehr hochwertiges Fleisch. Hier wurden definitiv nicht einfach nur kleine Reste verwendet.Fazit:Wer wie ich auch ein Fan von Beef Jerky ist sollte umbedingt auch mal was anderes probieren. Dies hier ist eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Alternative, aber zumindest hier in der Gegend nicht im Laden zu bekommen. Der Preis ist voll in Ordnung und man bekommt hier qualitativ hochwertiges, gut schmeckendes Fleisch.

I am not a regular jerky eater. Usually it is too salty for me and tastes more than a weird mix of spices than actual meat. Jerky by Renjer is different. It’s definitely not too salty and they used the right amount of spices. If I would need to describe how wilderness tastes like I would probably describe is as the taste of the elk jerky by Renjer.The package itself is just stunning. Great as a present for any meat lover!

Das Elch-Jerky von Renjer hat jetzt alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen – viel zarter und geschmacksintensiver als irgendein Jerky aus dem Supermarkt. Mega lecker!! Das Jerky ist endlich mal nicht der durchschnittliche, ungesunde Snack, sondern mit dem einzigartigen Geschmack echt was besonderes. Man schmeckt, dass es natürlich ist. Die Nährwerte sind natürlich der absolute Hammer. Habe erst gezögert, Jerky online zu bestellen, aber werde es auf jeden Fall bald wieder bestellen, wenn meine 10er Box alle ist. Bravo!

Wirklich sehr ansprechend (und damit übrigens auch ideal als kleines Mitbringsel). Das einzige Problem war, dass mein Sohn und ich nicht eher aufhören konnten, bis alles alle war.Man muss wirklich kein Skandinavien-Fan sein, um das zu mögen.

This jerky was much nicer than I expected. I don’t usually have jerky. I’ve tried beef jerky before and thoroughly enjoy it’s just not a snack of my choice. Nevertheless the product looked highly inviting and so I decided to try it. It’s great for snacking on. Sometimes I eat out of boredom and this is a great remedy for that. It’s very chewy but that’s to be expected with jerky however I did not feel like I was eating leather. I gave some samples to my family and they thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Mein Mann ist großer Fan von Jerky und hatte bereits vor einiger Zeit das Glück Jerky von Renjer zu probieren. Das Elch Jerky mit schwarzem Pfeffer weckte daher sofort sein Interesse. Bereits die hochwertige und ansprechende Verpackung verspricht ein Geschmackserlebnis Punkt schade ist jedoch, dass die Tüte nicht wiederverschliessbar ist, da wir in den meisten Fällen diese nicht auf einmal aufessen. Ein Clip tut es aber selbstverständlich auch.Das Jerky hat die typische Farbe und Konsistenz, die man auch von anderen Sorten kennt und entsprechend erwartet. Beim Öffnen strömt einem ein leckerer, leicht würziger Geruch entgegen. So würzig wie das Jerkey riecht und es aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet wurde, schmeckt es aber nicht. Das Jerky schmeckte meinem Mann zwar sehr gut, eine Pfeffer-Note konnte er jedoch nicht wahrnehmen. Für Konsumenten, die sich besonders auf einen Pfefferkick freuen, könnte das Geschmackserlebnis daher leicht enttäuschend sein. Da das Jerky aber ansonsten erstklassig ist, gibt es 4 von 5 Sternen.

… Wild, nicht so robust im Geschmack wie Elch, da es fetter ist. Und am zartesten das Rentier, das aber weniger Eiweiss als die anderen beiden enthält. Das sich aber ALLES sehr gut kauen liess – und vor allem auch schön lange vorhält.Allerdings bezweifle ich schwer, dass die guten alten Wikinger oder Lappen ihr Ren-, Elch- oder Wldfleisch vor dem Trocknen in E250 alias Natriumnitrit einlegten. Gut, dieses synthetische Pökelsalz verhindert, dass uns Bakterien wie Botulinus den Appetit verderben und/oder krank machen. Absolut “natürlich” ist dieses Jerky vom Wild also leider auch nicht.Hier haben wir einen Beutel mit 30 Gramm Wild-Jerky, für den 100 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 406 kcal/1693 kJ, mit satten 70 % Eiweiss, 8 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Je 30-Gramm-Beutel also circa 135 kcal.Und einen Beutel mit 30 Gramm Elch-Jerky, für den 100 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 371 kcal/1547 kJ, mit satten 77 % Eiweiss, 7 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Pro 30-Gramm-Beutel also circa 120 kcal.Und einen Beutel mit 25 Gramm Rentier-Jerky, für den 70 Gramm Frischfleisch getrocknet wurden. Pro 100 Gramm liegen die Nährwerte bei 273 kcal/1142 kJ, mit 56,7 % Eiweiss, 4,5 % Fett, und 4 Gramm Salz. Je 25-Gramm-Beutel also circa nur 70 kcal.Letzteres schmeckte ich bei einigen der sehr schön geschnittenen Teilchen leider ein wenig heraus. Darum die 4 Sterne-Wertung. Allerdings eine reine Geschmackssache, letztendlich…Ansonsten ist so ein 25/ 30-Gramm-Beutel ein recht gesunder und vor allem auch sehr sättigender Snack mit circa 70, 125 oder 135 kcal. Sehr schön kräftig und sehr individuell im Geschmack, und eine echte Abwechslung zu Beef alias Rind. Kann ich durchaus weiter empfehlen.Preislich liegt diese nordische Spezialität allerdings im oberen Preisbereich. Das wissen wir aber vor dem Kauf. Und haltbar ungeöffnet bis 01/2019.Wer also einmal etwas anderes probieren mag im Jerky-Bereich, kann sich hier austoben. Und dann die jeweiligen Lieblingsjerkies einzeln bestellen. Vorsicht!Dieser Satz will genau gelesen werden…Unsere Produkte haben eine Mindesthaltbarkeit von 12 Monaten ab Herstellungsdatum..ich war davon ausgegangen, dass die Produkte mit einer Mindesthaltbarkeit von 12 Monaten verschickt werden, dem ist aber nicht so, es sind ca. 3 Monate. Steht in der Beschreibung auch nicht, wer lesen kann ist klar imVorteil!Ansonsten, ok für den reduzierten Preis

Das Fleisch schmeckt mir sehr, jedoch könnte es für meinen Geschmack noch etwas Salziger sein. Was ich erwähnen möchte, ist das das Fleisch einen eisenhaltigen Geschmack hat (nicht so stark wie Das Elchfleisch), für den Fall das man das nicht mag, sollte man davon vllt. Abstand halten, mir jedoch macht es nichts und daher ist das kein Problem. Die Verpackung ist für meinen Geschmack (wie bei den meisten anderen Trockenfleisch Herstellern) zu groß gewählt. Die Packung ist immer nur, wenn überhaupt, 1/4 gefüllt, da könnte man der Umwelt zu liebe, eventuell eine kleinere Verpackung wählen. Auch der Preis von etwa 4€-5€ pro Tüte ist schon nicht ohne. Aber da es mir Schmeckt kann ich darüber noch hinweg sehen. An sich bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden und kann mir vorstellen es erneut zu kaufen wenn en im Angebot sein sollte.

Foto: In der Mitte habe ich eine Rasierklinge fotografiert. Genauso spitz und scharfkantig sind die Teile. Wunderte mich, weil das Jerky nach Blut schmeckt, bis ich bemerkt hatte, dass das Zahnfleisch rot und die Lippe aufgeschnitten war. oben mittig sieht man den Abfall, der auf die winzige Portion auf 25 Gramm, das ist nichts, zugepackt wird. Das ist eine unkaubare Fleischfaser. Fazit: Keine Kaufempfehlung, ein Höhle der Löwen Nepp für D(ü)umme(l). Wenn es aber jeder Deutsche und jede Deutsche nur 1 x kauft, wird der Investor reich!

Ich habe noch nie ein Hirschfleisch gegessen, aber auf dieses Produkt könnte ich süchtig werden – vor allem, weil ich sehr gerne scharf esse – der Preis ist mir persönlich zu hoch – ob ich es noch einmal kaufe, kann ich jetzt noch nicht sagen – trotzdem sehr gut und scharf, SUPER!

So ein großartiges Produkt. Wirklich perfekt für zwischendurch und eine absolute Delikatesse. Die Verpackung ist ansprechend und hochwertig, ebenso das Jerkey selbst. Wenn man es nicht kennt kann ich nur empfehlen es zu kaufen, es lohnt dich auf alle Fälle
